Little Joy - "Next Time Around"

everything is going to be ok. that is exactly the way this record makes me feel.

a mid week soirée

the street wear fashion label VANGUARD hosted a pre-summer gathering to showcase their ss2010/11 collection and I flashed my camera around.

giggle giggle giggle. i stumbled upon the most divine blog 'stuff no one told me' by cartoonist Alex Noriega.

FYI viewing this is a super cute way to lift your mood. i thought of so many people who would be amused by this as i was checking it out, you'll find a post that relates to every friend you have, and every thought you have ever had, or a million things that you never thought of that make so much ridiculous sense...if that makes any sense!

stuffnoonetoldme.blogspot.com

a series of photos by Michael Casker, 'Pet Cloud'.

like a lazy afternoon in the city with nothing but your imagination and your forever speaking internal monologue. the strange things you can create in your mind when you spend some time alone with yourself. something i need to spend more time doing, to spend a little time rediscovering loneliness guarantees a stronger sense of self, i think anyway.

so it appears winter is lingering, and the mood on the street is still quite damp. no one can make up their mind regarding the naked leg and witnessing this confuses me. black is the colour boasting the most appeal if you live in this city and most definitely if you want to hang with the cool kids. black is my colour. it makes everything calm and collected, i feel as though i can scoot by under the radar, feel sharp, half my size and fake sophistication.

so today i wore a gold blazer. that shimmers, even.

lime flavoured morning

breakfast with boy before work was a treat this morning, starting my day on the right foot as opposed to the left. especially when the cheeky weather plays tricks on you and sprinkles the sun around for a few hours before crying its tears all over us in the pm.
i feel lime green fences, old table cloths, beat magazine and foam ripping on chair cushions.

larger than lace.

today was a day of black lace, gold studs and orange lipstick.
my goodness my lipstick craving is becoming more like an odd obsession. its all about the peachy corals this week - especially when worn with a soft grey. anyway...this is my favourite belt at the moment, i feel like i need to search for my inner boy and be armed with a skateboard when i wear it. it's hard to tell in this picture, but this beautiful lace piece is cropped and fitted with gold zips down the arms and back.

for me, there is something divine about mixing hard out and feminine pieces.

and whilst i was flicking through...

....karen walker on facebook -( the lane way to finding odds and ends) this picture took my eye. there is something about a boy in karen walker glasses that i love...and of course the fact that this boy happens to be sean lennon...

pic from 'NO' magazine.

loving karen walker mini critters

this would be an ideal gift. for me.

Artists On Art: The creative process is a cocktail of instinct, skill, culture and a highly creative feverishness - Francis Bacon

Oren Noy, untitled.

i love stumbling upon an image that provokes emotion from a hidden part of my mind. this image conjured a feeling that is a mixture of warm peppermint tea, accidental steps in rainy puddles, long bus trips, checked pillows, giant wooly knits and chipped red nails.

taller in stripes

this photo was snapped saturday night in the city. i love this outfit, these satin striped pants are such a beautiful, strong piece.

decorative pieces and new shoes.

a day at the office

just needed to snap it.
