they are so sweet!
My book collection is suffering extreme malnutrition and is starting to look more like a beside table for my alarm clock than a point of reference or vessel for adventure.
I move in phases with what I read and it has been quite sometime since I have been completely absorbed in a story (cough Twilight series cough).
It has taken me almost 10 months to read The Bell Jar, though today I will conquer this - it is on my mental list of things to do whilst not being able to move due to my appendix being plucked from my body leading to the four white walls of confinement.

Most importantly, I am looking forward to stumbling upon an extraordinary, or modestly entertaining premise for a piece of writing. I find it highly amusing that the more time I have at my disposal to write things down, the harder it is to locate an idea.

I am the quintessential observer of human quirks and tendencies. Fact.

My boyfriend recently bought me a magazine that I had never seen before. It is a beautiful book of expressive creatives sharing their thoughts and stories. I gasped with delight as I flicked over the matt pages and climbed into the text. It didn't make me want to buy things (for a change) it made me want to try things, listen and learn. I like to read the stories of others and how they move through their days and this seems to me a pretty humble platform for such an idea.

sorting through my bits and pieces

my little 2cents worth in this weeks Grazia! hehe...oh dear how small things amuse

From nineties to noughties.
Harper's BAZAAR has recreated the memorable Calvin Klein campaign originally fronted by Kate Moss and Mark Wahlberg (unforgetable - imbedded in my frontal lobe forever)
This spread sees Bambi Northwood Blyth and Jack Vanderhart channel the famous shoot.

I am loving the orange splash and completely struck with Paloma Rose Garcia's direction with the low pony in style of 1960's Brigitte Bardot.
I need some colour in my life - I need to loosen the hell up and stop biting my fingernails at the thought of brights! this collection is still quite subtle, perhaps the perfect stone to step on in my fight against the black & grey. Or maybe  i'll just start with the eyes...

ok, done. i am sorting out this orange eye situation.

Shed some light on me lady!

Although I told myself I wouldn't do a big post-wedding-fashion-post...I just had to make a teeny comment on my second favourite brit style duo. VB wore her own design modified from her A/W 11/12 collection, Phillip Treacy hat (he designed a massive 32 of the hats for the wedding) & her heels were customised Christian Louboutins that she collaborated on.
In true VB style - her heels are huge, her hair is sleek and she works minimalism to perfection.
The dapper David wore Ralph Lauren.

WOW! this weeks cover of UK Grazia is super eye catching and incredibly bold - I love it!
In a McQueen style - punk-esque - very very british - design, it lived up to the great wait!

sj & heidi look so so beautiful at this years logies
