let the DRAMA begin

The first episode hit the tv world last night.
Enter me - equipped with a bowl of popcorn, a large glass of red and a small group of giddy girls, sitting wide eyed and full of excitment!
Reality television is something I hold close to my heart - I am a self confessed loser in love with the day to day goings on of any ol' jo blow (this includes anything with 'jersey' in the title - and i have been known to have fantasised about what it would be like being the 6th Kardashian sister)

This reality series though, plays with a different heart string...fashion, writing, and media savvy women with beauty and brains...oh my!

MM

miss missoni you never cease to amaze and thrill me. yet another creative & bold step onto the pavement.

this weeks grazia love

for me, a regular monday begins with a  strong soy latte thorough flick through the ever so delightful pages of of GRAZIA mag.
this week, i was so incredibly blown away with the beautiful imagery surrounding the rtw shoot (pages 83-95)
that i just had to post a few of my favs. aussie a/w 11 will be out in full force and my distinct crush on a cooler season will be all but content. with love & ksubi.

its home time and im still typing

ding ding ding! it is 5.30 and it is most definitely time to leave the office, however i am still in fashion la la land. these are a few pics i enjoy, now it is time to enjoy my thursday eve.
the eve before the eve that is the weekend. ugh. im tired.

christine centenera

ok, so i love christine.
it's time for new work shoes, or at least time for an excuse to purchase a sweet pair of birch leather & suede 'Casandre' platform - Derek Lam booties (which happen to now be flying the red price tag!)  how is it possible to resist a reduction on such glorious feet hugging twins?

tonight is the final night i will sleep under the familiar roof.

i will miss the sounds the street makes after midnight.
i will miss the trip down the spiraling stairs.
i will miss the mood lighting the day after the party.
i will miss you and your cigarette tin.

what a fabulous collaboration of art, music and fashion.

this tee by artist rebekah miles for rodarte was made exclusively for opening ceremony and features a drawing of kurt cobain on the front.

moving out is like breaking up

i am delighted to see in the new year with so many changes already in the mixer. i am an avid believer in a fresh start, and what could be more of an excuse to wipe the slate clean than the month of january...

the downside to the upside is that i have to move out of my apartment. my place of comfort that has been coated with inches of my love (& his). the 23rd of february can wait for me as long as it wants. whilst i kick around ideas in my mind to form somewhat of a resolution to my 2010, i will conjure up the brave heart within and start packing.

"i almost wish we were butterflies and liv'd but three summer days.
three such days with you i could fill with more delight than 50 common years could ever contain"

my fondness for flowery type pieces is begining to overpower my wardrobe - the velvet blazer however, is my rose amongst the thorns. the jefferey campbell selection at the moment is also a tough one to choose from with every platform whispering my name. i cave easily - though they are completely worth it!

colour yourself in.

if you happen to be like me and have a little trouble replicating any kind of 'on trend' look when applying make up, or on a good day simply rub a bit of rose coloured blush on your cheeks and apply mascara that is screaming at you to be thrown away, then i have just the little blog for you...

based in london, H I L A R Y is working her way up the make up artistry ranks and has some lovely little tips on her online free-for-all to help us cosmetically challenged folk when it comes to what is fresh and current.

view for your pleasure.

who needs a disco ball

last night i was all about the sequins. i was also having a pink lipstick heart attack (my favourite from MAC - snob.)
i love a piece of clothing that is drenched in memories and every time you wear it in its billion different ways, it feels like a good choice. this is the 'cant get it wrong' dress for me. even with my converse.
it was brand new again...and had its first taste of tequila.

eye-browed out

my obsession with the large brow is taking over my life (ridiculous but true)

its ok to have nothing to do. its ok to step away from what is comfortable and discover a different part of yourself. deal with what happens to be thrown into your face - sort it out. today i banged my head right into a challenge, it hurt, and i must say tears were there to help digest the shock. at least i know i can always rely on my friends for a good ol' cliché to encourage me to see reason; 'everything happens for a reason man', 'it was obviously meant to be'...as much as hearing the generic phrase is hard to accept or may just be something that is said because there is nothing else to say - it worked like a bandaid. at the end of the day...i'll live.

the hunt for the perfect knit.

its too cold to leave the house tonight, though i will muster up some sort of courage needed to push me underneath the wet and howling evening sky. i have a crush on winter apparel, so i must not complain when saturday night is chilled...
this picture has given me slight inspiration to venture outside and mingle amongst the people of the night.

fever ray.

fever ray covers peter gabriel's 'mercy street'. love this image, and the song is nothing short of consuming.

freja. say no more.

MAWI charm bracelet.

ever since a certain mawi necklace stole my heart, i cannot stop looking at their creations. this is gorgeous - and for someone who doesn't do dainty and pretty, i like it.

looks like you.

my tummy is in knots from laughing all weekend, this photo reminds me of when i dropped an ice cream all over my t shirt.
