Toi et Moi - You & Me

i ventured to France once upon a time, wandered aimlessly through the streets of Paris with nothing but a satchel, camera and a pocketful of dreams.
i remember being overcome with emotions, so very difficult to describe now, but at the age of 22 all bright eyed and curious i allowed myself to absorb everything beautiful, and everything about that city was so indescribably beautiful.
the women were especially extraordinary, the fashion exquisite and admittedly i was a little jeals of their bike riding + baguette eating ability minus the goofy backpack + weight gain.

now, back at home in the land down under, i have a little piece of Parisian style just inches away in the form of french inspired label...

the one thing that struck me swiftly about this label is their latest A/W11 campaign.
shot in the form of 'bounty hunter', Garance Dore & The Satorialist, Toi et Moi have beautiful Sydney siders wearing the product around their local haunts - self styled. tres cool!

I received my 'Pourqui' dress in the mail yesterday from the beautiful girls at Toi et Moi, and boy oh boy the dainty Parisian inside of me is out to play! i hope you love as much as i do!

i love you - here's one for the women

Let me begin with happy Monday.
It seems that every morning whilst standing awkwardly on the tram into the city, I find time to reflect and mock up random ideas. I also find that this time of the day seems to be the greatest time to engage in inspiration, it is when anything surrounding can tickle my fancy and add the spring that my step is lacking.
With that, I was scrolling through my selection of blogs and all sorts on my iphone and I was at once captured by a simple quote.
My love for magazines is no secret so it is no suprise that the most simple thing could resonate strongly on this Monday morning.
Leelee covers issue six of I Love You magazine, which evolved from the blog by Christiane Bördner, who told The New York Times The Moment blog...

"My heart beats for magazines, photography, and I love paper... For me, the magazine format is the perfect medium to express the “I love you” idea."

Berlin-based 'i love you' magazine is available Colette in Paris, Opening Ceremony in New York and Los Angeles, and magnation in Australia.

J O V E E B A

im not sure about anyone else, but i love everything about autumn.
i love almost winter breezes, sun & sprinkles of rain, but most of all i love the colours.
i am pretty pleased with myself this afternoon as i have stumbled upon an a/w collection that will suit me just fine - especially when it can be translated into work then play.
JOVEEBA is a beautiful australian label based in sydney, that seems to capture the essence of what it is to be stylishly relaxed, youthful, feminine & fresh as a daisy.
after my online shopping spreeeeee, here are a few images of my favourite pieces from the collection.
think the inner-school-girl that is alexa mixed with old-school-boho sienna, all the while refined

please click ON ME to view the full delicious range for yourself and wave hello to autumn

there is something quite romantic about a chilly sunday, couch bound, coffee and books.
especially on the back of a champagne filled saturday night.

i may need to invest in a bookshelf soon.

A M & D T

i take a giant breath in, and let out an equally giant sigh...what a spectacular time in life it is....
my friends are getting married ever so soon and this weekend is the celebration of their engagement.

it makes me the happiest girl in the world to be apart of their lives and
to see the life they have created for themselves as a whole is the most wonderful thing.

amazing things were always meant for people like these two.
peas in a pod, birds of a feather....oh  love isn't it grand!

Here are a couple of my fav's from the issue x

let the DRAMA begin

The first episode hit the tv world last night.
Enter me - equipped with a bowl of popcorn, a large glass of red and a small group of giddy girls, sitting wide eyed and full of excitment!
Reality television is something I hold close to my heart - I am a self confessed loser in love with the day to day goings on of any ol' jo blow (this includes anything with 'jersey' in the title - and i have been known to have fantasised about what it would be like being the 6th Kardashian sister)

This reality series though, plays with a different heart string...fashion, writing, and media savvy women with beauty and brains...oh my!

MM

miss missoni you never cease to amaze and thrill me. yet another creative & bold step onto the pavement.

this weeks grazia love

for me, a regular monday begins with a  strong soy latte thorough flick through the ever so delightful pages of of GRAZIA mag.
this week, i was so incredibly blown away with the beautiful imagery surrounding the rtw shoot (pages 83-95)
that i just had to post a few of my favs. aussie a/w 11 will be out in full force and my distinct crush on a cooler season will be all but content. with love & ksubi.

its home time and im still typing

ding ding ding! it is 5.30 and it is most definitely time to leave the office, however i am still in fashion la la land. these are a few pics i enjoy, now it is time to enjoy my thursday eve.
the eve before the eve that is the weekend. ugh. im tired.

christine centenera

ok, so i love christine.
it's time for new work shoes, or at least time for an excuse to purchase a sweet pair of birch leather & suede 'Casandre' platform - Derek Lam booties (which happen to now be flying the red price tag!)  how is it possible to resist a reduction on such glorious feet hugging twins?

tonight is the final night i will sleep under the familiar roof.

i will miss the sounds the street makes after midnight.
i will miss the trip down the spiraling stairs.
i will miss the mood lighting the day after the party.
i will miss you and your cigarette tin.

what a fabulous collaboration of art, music and fashion.

this tee by artist rebekah miles for rodarte was made exclusively for opening ceremony and features a drawing of kurt cobain on the front.

moving out is like breaking up

i am delighted to see in the new year with so many changes already in the mixer. i am an avid believer in a fresh start, and what could be more of an excuse to wipe the slate clean than the month of january...

the downside to the upside is that i have to move out of my apartment. my place of comfort that has been coated with inches of my love (& his). the 23rd of february can wait for me as long as it wants. whilst i kick around ideas in my mind to form somewhat of a resolution to my 2010, i will conjure up the brave heart within and start packing.

"i almost wish we were butterflies and liv'd but three summer days.
three such days with you i could fill with more delight than 50 common years could ever contain"

my fondness for flowery type pieces is begining to overpower my wardrobe - the velvet blazer however, is my rose amongst the thorns. the jefferey campbell selection at the moment is also a tough one to choose from with every platform whispering my name. i cave easily - though they are completely worth it!
